A Fairfax County grand jury last Tuesday, Feb. 21, indicted two people for crimes in the local area. They are Andrew Bullock and Marron Nowlin, and both are now slated for jury trials.
<sh>Bullock
<bt>On Dec. 26, police charged Andrew Bullock, 45, of 1109 Waterford Place in Herndon, with one count of burglary and two counts of abduction. They said he knocked on the door of a Centre Ridge apartment, around 1:30 a.m., and allegedly assaulted the 26-year-old man who answered.
Bullock appeared in General District Court on Feb. 13 before Judge Stewart Davis and, at that time, all three charges against him were sent to the grand jury. Then last week, the grand jury indicted him. As a result, he's now scheduled to have a jury trial, March 13, in Circuit Court.
<sh>Nowlin
<bt>Marron F. Nowlin, 23, of 13th Place, S.E., in Washington, D.C., was arrested by county police, Oct. 27, after police developed information that he and two Centreville women were allegedly distributing narcotics in the area of Lee Highway and Stone Road in Centreville.
Police made a traffic stop of their vehicle there and charged all three people with distribution of cocaine. Nowlin was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and altering the serial number of a weapon.
In General District Court, on Feb. 15, before Judge Minor, his charges were sent to the Feb. 21 grand jury and he was indicted. Nowlin is set for an April 17 jury trial in Circuit Court.
