ROBBERY
Rolling Road 6100 block
Two boys, both aged 16, were walking in front of West Springfield High School when they turned around to see two men, one armed with a gun and the other a knife, running at them. The men ordered the victims to the ground and took a cellular telephone and cash from the victims.

BIAS INCIDENT
Little Rocky Run Circle
A car was marked with religious-based writings and symbols. The markings, which were done with duct tape, were removed without permanent damage to the car.
EMBEZZLEMENT
Lee Jackson Memorial Highway 12011 block
Police charged Ashley Ward Abbot, 27, of 3932 Fort Worth Avenue in the City of Alexandria, with four counts of embezzlement. Abbot embezzled in excess of $165,000 from the Frontiers of Freedom Institute where she had been employed since April 2002.
SEXUAL ASSAULT
Green Ridge Court 3800 block
An investigation led to the arrest of Gary Lee Henry, 41, of 3807 Green Ridge Court in the Fairfax area.. Henry sexually assaulted a 17-year-old acquaintance during August and September of 2001. Henry was charged with indecent liberties with a minor and arrested on July 12. He was being held without bond.
