The Children’s Theatre Showcase was created by 55 fifth grade students at Mount Vernon Woods, Woodley Hills, Hollin Meadows, Woodlawn and Hybla Valley Elementary Schools.

The 14-week After School Drama Program was funded in part by the Arts Council of Fairfax County. The students created original plays based on themes that have importance to them: gangs, good and evil, group dynamics, gossip and more. The plays were directed by Monique Flowers and John Waldron
