Recommended the county adopt a 1.095 percent tax rate and establish an online “checkbook” where citizens can monitor county expenditures Budget and Finance
Recommended pro-rating storm water county taxes based on commercial property runoff amounts Budget and Finance
Recommended establishing an additional farmers market Consumer Affairs
Recommended a State and County moratorium on future auto title loan businesses. Consumer Affairs
Recommended that individual residents own the sewer line only up to their property boundary line
Recommended an increase in the school budget Education

Monitored county regulations on Residential Studio Units HHS
Provided regular information on illegal housing, blighted property, hoarding, and unpermitted construction and the launch of a radio station to provide emergency information during incidents HHS
Participated in several transit studies, e.g., Route 1 multimodal analysis and meetings on electric vehicle charging station infrastructure Transportation
Recommended the Board of Supervisors complete the Fort Hunt Trail between Belle Haven Road and North of Huntington Cove Place Transportation
Recommended the BOS, VDOT, DRPT and FCDOT make Richmond Highway a priority for all required transportation studies to be funded and completed by 2015 so that the citizens and businesses in this area have the benefit of mass rail transit in order to enhance revitalization and their way of life Transportation
Secured the Board of Supervisors Approval of the North Gateway Comprehensive Plan Language change. This change will stimulate mixed use redevelopment of the North Gateway Community Business Center to include retail, office, hotel and residential components. 12 other redevelopment comprehensive plan changes were approved previously.
