Serial Armed Robber from Burke Convicted

Burke resident Larry Pyos, Jr was convicted Thursday, Oct. 20 on charges linked to several armed robberies that took place around Fairfax County, a release from the U.S. Attorney’s office said.

Pyos was indicted in August of this year for conspiracy, armed robbery, using firearms in committing robberies and being a felon in possession of firearms. He fired a weapon at employees in two of the robberies.

On Christmas Eve in 2015, Pyos started the spree robbing Good Fortune Supermarket in Falls Church. He followed that by hitting Springfield businesses Shri Krishna grocery store, Dollar Power and Ding How Carryout.

April 26, 2016, Pyos robbed Hong Kong Palace restaurant in Falls Church.

Finally on May 9, he robbed a Subway sandwich stop in McLean.

Pyos has been in custody since his arrest on May 11. He was convicted Thursday by a federal jury and is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 13, 2017.
