Continuing to serve the community in every way it can, Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) recently held a free food-distribution and flu-vaccination clinic at Grace Covenant Church in Chantilly. It did so in partnership with the Fairfax County Health Department.
After being vaccinated, 110 clients and their families received boxes of non-perishable food donated by the Capital Area Food Bank, They were also given gift cards from Chick-fil-A in Chantilly, plus bread, milk and other perishable items from WFCM’s food pantry. And the Health Department distributed face coverings to them.
Grace Covenant Church provided lunch for the Health Department employees, and Supervisor Kathy Smith (D-Sully) and her legislative aide, Dan Dolan, brought doughnuts and coffee for the Health Department employees, who were on-site for six hours.
