Lake Anne, considered the "heart and soul" of Reston, held its annual Jingle on Lake holiday event on December 3. The long-running custom marked its 51st season with activities throughout the day.
At noon, much to the delight of the children and adults, Santa arrived on the scene by barge, escorted by his paddleboarding elves.

Sky Bold, 3, of Reston with mom Zaya, is one of the first children to sit next to Santa but is not comfortable next to him.
The line of people is growing longer and longer as everyone eagerly waits to share their wishes with Santa.
