The St. Mark's Mathletes. Representatives from St. Mark Catholic School participated in the Thomas Jefferson Intermediate Math Open on Saturday, Nov. 3. This is an elite mathematics competition open to seventh and eighth grade students in the Northern Virginia area who have a strong interest and ability in mathematics. St. Mark Mathletes were: Connor Morrissey, Sarah Lupinacci, Vale Tolpegin, Matthew Nguyen, Daniel Wright, William Waggoner and Nicholas Nguyen. The students participated in both individual and team competitions throughout the day. Daniel Wright and Nicholas Nguyen both received second place awards in the Pre-Algebra category.
