Allan Cohen, president and founder of McPaw, accepts a proclamation from County Councilmember Phil Andrews and County Executive Ike Leggett at the opening preview of the new Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center on Friday, Feb. 28. Andrews and Leggett will face each other, and former County Executive Doug Duncan, in the June Democratic primary for County Executive. Cohen and McPaw were instrumental in developing the new animal center to be welcoming to the public and to focus primarily on adoption.
